Refreshment Meeting
On the date 20/10/2024, Sunday, a meeting of the Netaji Youth Association was held at Jyoti Nagar, Berhampur. The main objective of the meeting was to focus on social welfare and women's empowerment, specifically addressing women's health awareness with a focus on menstrual hygiene. According to the Government of India's survey, 70-80% of women lack awareness about proper menstrual management. Considering this, the Netaji Youth Association aimed to raise awareness among 70% of women regarding menstrual hygiene and the importance of using sanitary napkins. The members committed to starting awareness programs, visiting every household in the villages, and promoting the use of sanitary napkins. Additionally, a plan was set to provide antibacterial and absorbent sanitary pads at an affordable price. The association, in collaboration with "Soft Shield," prepared a draft plan to achieve this goal within one year.
